Automatic Declicking

Repair of big clicks and pops is definitely best carried out manually, by tracking down the damaged section of waveform and then using one of a variety of repair methods (eg. interpolation, block copy, smoothing, waveform redrawing, etc).

However, medium sized clicks (those which are too big to be removed by decrackling) can sometimes be found and repaired by automatic means. Wave Repair's declicking facility has a number of parameters to allow you to find and repair varying types of clicks.

As an aid to setting those parameters, a realtime preview mode is available. This allows you to listen to the results of declicking while you adjust the parameters in order to home in on the best settings.
