Normalisation

Normalisation is the process whereby a section of waveform (or more commonly the entire WAV file) is amplified by exactly the amount needed to bring it up to a user-specified maximum peak level.

Wave Repair's normalisation function can normalise both channels independently (so they both peak to the maximum possible), or together (so that their relative peak levels remain the same). It also has an option to remove any DC offset that may be present.
