Introduction |
Waveform SmoothingSome types of damage causes a "roughening" of the waveform. This can be seen as a general "spikyness" superimposed on an otherwise viable waveform.Wave Repair's smoothing feature irons out the "spikyness". It can be very effective on "scuffs" and brief bursts of "hash". Note that this does also eliminate higher frequencies to some extent, and in this respect behaves a little like a low-pass filter (although it is not implemented as a filter). |
